Customer Service Isn’t a Dinosaur

Last week I went to Whole Foods to buy Jane Carter’s “Nourish and Shine”.  I’ve used this in the past, but stopped because I thought that I could find something better.  Wrong!  I decided to return to what works.  Well, imagine my extreme disappointment when the shelf was empty.  Arrgh!  I was so upset that I tweeted at that moment my experience.  Well, people do read tweets about them or their companies.  I was so surprised to see a response from Jane Carter herself apologizing for my experience.  She asked me to send her my address, and provided an email.  I sent my information as requested.  Today, I received a box from Jane Carter with a 4 oz. jar of Nourish and Shine, buttons that say “Love Your Hair,” and pamphlets on other Jane Carter products.

I did not expect free product.  I was simply sharing my experience with the Twitterverse.  In this day and age, it’s so nice and refreshing to see someone or  a company care about their customers as well as their reputation.

Thank you, Jane Carter.  You have a customer for life.
